Type the falling words before they hit the ground. Three lives. Speed rises.
Falling Words is typing practice with an arcade heartbeat. Words from your chosen topic list drop from the top of the screen, and the only way to stop them is to type every letter. The letters you have typed light up in green as you go, so you always know where you are inside the word. Destroy a word and it bursts into points — ten base points, plus two per letter, plus a combo bonus if you chain kills quickly.
Let a word touch the bottom and you lose one of your three lives; those words go into your review deck for later. Every fifteen seconds a new wave starts: the words fall a little faster and arrive a little sooner. Waves build until your lives run out — then you see your score, your best, and which words got the better of you.
Because speed is your enemy, short words force fast decisions and long words reward careful rhythm. Play once as a warm-up, or chase your high score until the wave counter laughs at you. It runs on any device with a keyboard, and the vocabulary side is fully pluggable: every topic list on the site feeds this machine.
Pick a word list and press start. Words begin to fall from the top of the screen. Type the letters of a word to destroy it before it reaches the bottom — land it and you lose a life. You have three lives, and the fall speed increases every wave.
It works for all levels. New players can start with short A1–A2 word lists, while advanced players pick harder topics where words fall faster. Typing the whole word — not just its first letter — is what builds real fluency.
Yes. Every word you fail to catch is added to your personal review deck, and the topic word lists come with definitions you can open from the word list page. It is typing practice and vocabulary exposure at the same time.
The game needs keyboard focus. Click once on the screen (or tap it on a tablet with a keyboard) and then type. If you are on a phone without a physical keyboard this game is best played on a laptop or desktop.
